DCI appeals for information from public on 14 Riverside attack

Anyone with information regarding the attack at 14 Riverside in Nairobi has been urged to contact the police.

On Thursday, the Department of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Kenya made the appeal saying any information no matter how inconsequential it may seem will help hasten investigations.

“DCI Detectives investigating the #RiversideAttack are appealing to anyone with any kind of information that may help in the investigations to report in Confidence @DCI_Kenya HQs or at any Police Station. You can also Call the National Police Service Emergency Hotlines ~999, 112 & 911,” a statement from the investigators reads.

The terrorist attack that was centred at dusitD2 hotel for over 18 hours left 21 people dead.

Tens of others were injured even as 700 were safely evacuated as shots of gunfire and bomb blasts rented the air.

President Uhuru Kenyatta in his address to the nation said all the attackers were killed.

 

He also praised the country’s joint security teams for their swift action and vowed that all those involved in the attack would be held accountable.
