DCI officers seize miraa consignment set for export

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) on Wednesday afternoon seized a consignment of miraa weighing 1700 kilograms which was set for export to foreign countries.

In a tweet, the DCI disclosed that the consignment was concealed and declared as personal effects and was ready for export to the United States, France and Singapore.

Investigations are currently underway to identify and arrest individuals behind the consignment.
