DCI on the hunt for man seen beating female guard

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have launched a manhunt for a man caught on video assaulting a female guard.

In the video that has since gone viral, a man identified as Justin is seen on CCTV footage reportedly committing the crime at Komarock Phase 5A at around 4:30pm.

“We are already narrowing down on the perpetrator. Meanwhile, the lady security officer has been called upon to make a formal report in pursuit of justice. We greatly condemn such violence against anyone in the course of their duty,” DCI said on Twitter.

In the video that was allegedly captured on Thursday, the man opens the gate against the guard’s wishes.

She attempts to close the gate which seems to upset the man.

A verbal altercation ensues but the guard seems to ignore him and proceeds to make a second attempt at closing the gate.

The man then quickly closes the distance between them and starts to assault her in a visible fit of rage.

He starts to slap her but the female guard doesn’t retaliate; she just keeps moving away. This continues until they move out of range of the CCTV camera.

The guard is seen again in complete view of the camera, followed by the man who continues beating her.

Two unidentified people emerge from the vehicle that the man was driving and attempt to intervene; they are are a middle-aged man and an elderly woman.

The enraged man then returns to the vehicle and speeds off, leaving his two passengers behind.

He is yet to be found and so is the vehicle whose registration number is KCC594Y.
