Death of woman who got buttock injections ruled as homicide

The death of a woman who wanted to increase her curves through a risky black market alternative to plastic surgery has been ruled as a homicide in Dallas.

The 34 year-old Wykesha Reid died in February during her fourth visit to Deep Ellum salon where she got buttock injections. The decision by the Dallas County medical examiner alleges that authorities will charge Denise “Wee Wee” Ross, 43, and Jimmy “Alicia” Clarke, 31, over Reid’s death.

According to NBC Dallas, Clarke and Ross have been charged before for practicing medicine without a license in a case where a woman claimed she was damaged by shots in her derriere.

The two charged customers from USD 300 to USD 500 for injections of a saline solution sealed with superglue during sessions that lasted between 15 minutes to 45 minutes as stated in a Dallas Morning News article.

Police have reason to believe that Reid had a medical emergency and was abandoned overnight in the salon by Clarke and Ross, according to TV station WFAA.

When questioned, Clarke purported that Reid arrived at the beauty parlor feeling sick. Police said that Clarke told them that she let Reid rest overnight and found her dead when she returned in the morning, WFAA reported.
