Demolition of shoddy buildings in Nairobi begins

Hundreds of people have been rendered homeless after the government began demolition of shoddy buildings in Nairobi’s Zimmerman estate.

This is part of an initiative to deter contractors from putting up substandard structures  in the capital city.

The move will  see over 1,000 shoddy premises flattened starting Wednesday.
