Dennis Ngatia joins Kagumo High School with help from sponsors

Dennis Ngatia Wangu has finally been admitted to Kagumo High School after Royal Media Services highlighted his plight and sponsors volunteered to pay his school fees.

In a colorful and joyful farewell at his former school, Dennis bid goodbye to his former colleagues and teachers where he advised the pupils to work extra hard to achieve their goals.

Business was brought to a standstill at Kimahuri shopping centre where Ngatia was accompanied by more than 400 pupils to celebrate the day.

Her mother Jane Wangu thanked the sponsors who supported his son saying that his dreams would have vanished without their help.

At the same time, Kieni legislator Kanini Kega, who accompanied Dennis to Kagumo, urged leaders to support needy and bright students noting that there are many students who need financial help.

Kega also criticized the leaders who are calling for the cancellation of the KCSE results claiming that those in the forefront were involved in exam leakages in the past.

Kagumo High School Principal Lawrence Kirwara welcomed Ngatia to the school and intimated that the school was expecting 270 form one students this year.

Dennis, who was the pupil president at his school, sat for KCPE at Kimahuri Primary School in Kieni East, Nyeri County and scored 403 marks of the possible 500.

He went back to his former primary school and requested the teachers to repeat standard eight as he lacked school fees to join Kagumo High School where he had been accepted.
