Do not make inflammatory remarks over ICC, MP tells Uhuru, Ruto

Politicians have been warned against making inflammatory remarks on the termination of the Kenyan cases at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Yatta MP Francis Mwangangi says politicians risk dividing the country further by making hate remarks as the country heads to next year’s General Election.

Speaking during the opening of an AP Camp at his backyard, the MP further demanded for the establishment of a fund to compensate all victims of the 2007/08 Post Election Violence.

Mwangangi’s sentiments come as the Jubilee government leads a prayer rally at Afraha Stadium.

The thanksgiving ceremony comes following termination of cases facing Deputy President William Ruto and journalist Joshua Arap Sang at the ICC.

National Assembly Majorty Leader Aden Duale and his Senate counterpart Kithure Kindiki hit out at CORD leader Raila Odinga over his remarks condemning the Nakuru rally, as they defended the jubilee government, saying it has done enough for IDPs.

This comes after Raila said termination of the Kenyan cases at the ICC spelt doom for Africa, further describing the Nakuru Jubilee rally as a mockery to the 2007/08 Post Election Violence victims, sentiments echoed by Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua.
