Know these 9 suspects wanted in Kenya Power scandal?

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has issued warrants of arrest for nine suspects in a case involving theft of Kenya Power property.

In a tweet posted on Friday morning, DCI Kenya ordered that the nine appear before the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court.

“Do you know any of these people?DCI Detectives investigating the KPLC case requests you to inform them to report either at the Milimani Anti~Corruption Court No.1 or DCI Kenya Investigations Branch. Their Warrants of Arrest have already been issued,” the post reads.

The suspects are Catherine Wanjiku Njuguna, Christine Nyawara and Edwin Macharia Ngamini all associated with Millous Enterprises; John Waweru (Kazimix Enterprises) and Jason Morara, James Ongechi, Jeremiah Onduko of Jake Building and Construction Ltd.

Others are Stephen Njoroge Maina ( Wachema Investment Ltd) and Linet Njeri (Pestus Investments Ltd).

According to detectives investigating the case, the nine are to be charged with fraudulent acquisition of public property.

On Tuesday this week, a man was arrested in Ruiru and Kenya Power equipment worth Ksh.20million discovered inside his compound.

The same day, a man masquerading as a Kenya Power official was arrested by anti-graft detectives while allegedly trying to extort a Ksh.200,000 bribe from a customer.
