Dormitory burnt down at St. Mary's Miambani school in Kitui

Area Senior Chief Muthoka Kilonzo confirmed the incident saying the dormitory used to accommodate 76 students. 

Through joint efforts from parents and school neighbors, the fire was put off with only a handful of items salvaged from the inferno. 

No injuries have been reported as investigations into the cause of the fire continue.

The incident comes a few hours after education CS George Magoha criticized the notoriety cases of arson in schools warning students that serious disciplinary measures would be taken against those found culpable.
