DP Ruto claims Odinga wants to use western nations’ cash to influence 2017 polls

Deputy President William Ruto says CORD leader Raila Odinga’s plea to western countries for funding for opposition parties is a plot to have the west influence the 2017 polls. Odinga who spoke yesterday at a political summit hosted by the London Metropolitan University said there was need for foreign countries to not only fund the government but also opposition parties. But Deputy President Ruto warns the funding is only aimed at swaying the electorate ahead of the 2017 general election.
