DP Ruto Dares Opposition Over New Security Law

The Deputy President has said CORD can move to court if it is disatisfied with the new laws that are aimed at tackling insecurity.

Ruto further hit out at opposition MPs who attempted to stop the enactment of the bill in Parliament last Thursday.

The Deputy President was speaking during the famous Kimalel goat auction in Baringo County.

On the goat auction, he has asked Baringo residents not to engage in cattle rustling but instead improve modern methods of livestock rearing.

Among the leaders present during the event were Baringo governor Benjamin Cheboi, senators Gideon Moi, Kipchumba Murkomen and parliament Majority Leader Aden Duale.

1,500 goats were auctioned during the function raising over 18.7 million shillings which will be divided among those whose goats were sold.
