DP Ruto in London for two-day visit
Deputy President William Ruto has arrived in London for a two-day official visit.
He is expected to meet British Government officials and address several public meetings.
“In London, United Kingdom to advance bilateral trade and investment, education, tourism; cement existing cooperation frameworks and explore new opportunities ahead of Brexit,” he said on Twitter.
Kenyan Ambassador to the U.K. Manoah Esipisu was among those who received the DP on Thursday.
On Friday, Dr Ruto will be at Chatham House in London to deliver a talk on Kenya’s national unity and regional integration.
This is the Deputy President’s first trip out of the country this year.
Last year in November he visited Italy and urged the international community to invest in Kenya.
Mr. Ruto also met with Italy Deputy Prime Minister Luigi Di Maio, the country’s Foreign Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi and Kenyans living in Rome.
