DP Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga visit Raphael Tuju at his Karen home

Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga on Friday paid a visit to Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju who is recovering following a road accident.

Mr. Odinga is said to have arrived at the Karen home just as the Deputy President was leaving.

The two leaders, who have been at loggerheads following the March 9, 2018 handshake and most recently the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), were seen exchanging pleasantries for a few minutes.

They then took a picture with Tuju and other leaders who had accompanied them: Johnson Sakaja (Nairobi Senator), Kipchumba Murkomen (Senate Majority Leader), Moses Kuria (Gatundu South MP) and Susan Kihika (Nakuru Senator).

Dr. Ruto then bid them goodbye and left.

Tuju is recuperating at his Karen home after the grisly road accident that occurred on February 12.

He was headed to Kabarak for the burial of the late former President Daniel arap Moi when his vehicle collided with a matatu at Magina area.

He suffered multiple injuries including 13 broken ribs, collapsed lungs and injuries to intestines.

The former Rarieda MP was then flown to the United Kingdom for specialized treatment and returned to Kenya two weeks later.

Since his return, he has received visitors from across the political divide including Gideon Moi (Baringo Senator), Caleb Kositany (Soy MP) and Kimani Ichungwah (Kikuyu Town MP).

Others are Otiende Amollo (Rarieda MP), Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay Woman Rep), Lilian Gogo (Rangwe MP) and Samuel Atandi (Alego Usonga MP).
