DP Ruto’s ICC claim is diversionary, Kitutu Chache South MP Onyonka says

Kitutu Chache South legislator Richard Onyonka has termed claims by Deputy President William Ruto on a possible revisit of his Hague case as diversionary.

Speaking at a Kisii school during a fund raiser by old boys, the MP instead invited the Dr. Ruto to a BBI rally in Mombasa.

According to Onyonka, the DP has no cause to worry if he embraces peaceful co-existence among Kenyan communities and supports the BBI cause.

He called for respect for the presidency through clean politics adding it was a game that entailed sound planning.

Hinting that the local community was bent on going for the country’s top seat, Onyoka was adamant that its numeral strength cannot be underrated.

The lawmaker was responding to reports by a section of the media that quoted the DP as expressing concern over an alleged scheme by his detractors.

Dr. Ruto was quoted as saying that his rivals are planning to reignite the case at the International Criminal Court (ICC) which acquitted him for lack of evidence.
