Dr Shaban wins Taveta Jubilee Parliamentary primaries
The incumbent Taveta Constituency Member of Parliament, Dr Naomi Shaban, has won the highly contested Jubilee Party primaries after garnering 9,751 votes beating her competitor, Mike Hamisi Banton, who garnered 5,661 votes.
While announcing the results, the Constituency Returning Officer, Joseph Makange, said that he was contented with the results since the exercise was free and fair.
“With the mandate bestowed on me by the Jubilee Party National Elections Board, I officially announce Dr Naomi Shaban as the winner in the Jubilee Party Taveta Constituency Primaries,” announced Makange.
In Voi Constituency, Dishon Mngoda, received the Jubilee Party certificate when he emerged top after garnering 7,091 votes while his competitor, Patience Nyaoga, garnered 2,289 votes.
