Drama as touts forcefully wash a stinky workmate

Residents of Rongo town were treated to a spectacle when a group of touts forcefully washed one of their colleagues whom they accused of being smelly.

The middle aged man was frog marched to a water body a few metres from the Kisii –Migori highway where he was given a public bath by his workmates.

According to the touts, the stench was affecting all those around him, and passengers had often complained about the odour.

Mathews Masibu , who works as a tout in Rongo, said that they resorted to the humiliating act because their workmate did not listen to their requests.

Masibu, who confesses that he is friends with the ‘stinky’ man, said that he had often told his friend to bathe, but his words fell on deaf ears.

Erick Odhiambo, who is among the people who washed the tout, justified the action saying that the man would not bathe otherwise.

In addition to the public bath, the touts bought their workmate a clean set of clothes.
