DRC Gov’t Confirms an Ebola Outbreak

The Democratic Republic of Congo has confirmed that there is an outbreak of Ebola in its northern equator province after two out of eight cases tested positive for the deadly virus. The development has sparked a scare in Kenya as the DRC is a major regional trading partner. However Health Cabinet Secretary James Macharia has assured Kenyans that the government has stepped up screening of people entering the country to prevent the possible spread of the Ebola virus.
