Dream of being an ambassador sees Nairobi doctor lose Ksh.10M

A man and his wife were on Monday arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts and charged with defrauding a doctor of Ksh.10 million under the guise that they were in a position to make him an ambassador.

Braxwell Wanjala Shiundu and Susan Awino Shiundu allegedly promised to secure Dr. Ali Raza the position of Kenyan Ambassador to Congo-Brazzaville.

According to court documents, the incident occurred on diverse dates between May 2017 and March 2018 in Parklands, Nairobi.

The couple were arraigned before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi where they denied the charges.

They were released on a bond of Ksh.3 million or Ksh.1 million cash bail each pending trial.

The case will be mentioned on April 23, 2018.
