Drinking illicit Brew Affecting Education In Coast Region

According to the women, those most affected are the men.

The sentiment by Taveta Member of Parliament Naomi Shabaan was shared by Taita Taveta women representative Joyce Lay and Kwale County women representative Zeinab Chidzuga in Mwatate at a fundraiser to support Mwatate education kitty.

The women expressed concern over the high number of broken families caused by excessive consumption of local brew.

The women said that the most affected in the coast region were men who are now running away from their family responsibilities.

Also of concern was the state of the education in the region which the leaders say has suffered greatly because of alcohol consumption.
