Driver attached to Justice Njoki Ndungu attacked, robbed of official car

A driver attached to Supreme Court Judge Njoki Ndung’u was attacked and robbed of one of her official cars in Nairobi on Friday night.

Police and witnesses said Justice Ndungu was not on board at the time of the incident at Githurai Mwihoko area.

The driver identified as Stephen Thuku was not injured in the drama.

Thuku told police he was driving the Toyota Landcruiser Prado at about 7.30 pm when he was blocked by another car.

Three men who had pistols jumped into the four wheel drive car belonging to the judge and bundled the driver onto the back seat.

The driver said the gunmen took control of the car and drove around the city up to Kayole before they abandoned him at Kibiku area in Ngong.

He said he lost Ksh. 110,000. The car is yet to be recovered.

Police said the car had registration number KCN 117M at the time of the incident and are urging anyone with information to report to the nearest station,
