Driver, passenger arrested for drug trafficking
Police in Narok have nabbed a consignment of bhang, estimated to have a street value of Ksh200, 000 at Ntulele.
The drugs were in transit from Kisii to Nairobi, when the officers intercepted them during a roadblock search.
Eric Ombati, the driver, and Peter Charo, a passenger, were arrested by police following the discovery of the bhang.
Speaking at Ntulele police station, Narok OCPD Paul Kiogora said that the suspects aged between 25 and 30 will soon be arraigned in court and charged for trafficking drugs.
Kiogora further urged all motorists travelling through Narok County to be vigilant of suspicious passenger luggage since it might contain illegal drugs.
The busy Sotik- Narok-Mai Mahiu highway is known to traffic illegal drugs and wild trophies to and from Narok.
