Drought Gets Worse In Wajir

According to a National Drought Management Authority (NDMA) report dubbed “early warning bulletin for August 2014,” the situation in Wajir South constituency is severe.

Some of the most affected areas include Karu, Harre, Ajoff and Hara-Khot-Khot.

Speaking in Habaswein after chairing an emergency drought meeting, Wajir South Mp Abdullahi Diriye urged national and county governments to urgently come up with famine mitigation measures before thigs get worse.

The Metrological department has predicted that the ravaging drought will continue until around November 2014.
