Dubai Builds ‘Museum Of The Future’

The USD 136 million curving, and of course futuristic-looking building, is expected to open in 2017.

Emirati Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Al-Gergawi said the museum in Dubai will showcase innovations in design and technology, in fields such as transportation, health and education.

He added: "The museum aims to change its exhibits every six months to keep pace with changing technology, with a goal to always be 10 years ahead of today."

THINKING DIFFERENTLY

The building is being constructed near Dubai's financial district, a seven-minute drive from the famous Burj Khalifa skyscraper — the tallest man-made structure in the world.

The country's ruler Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said the future belongs to those who can "imagine it, design it, and execute it".

"Here in the UAE we think differently. While others try to predict the future, we create it," he added.

Just when we think we have seen it all in Dubai, they surprise again.
