Elephant Takes Revenge on Suspected Poacher

According to Ikutha OCPD Kingstone Nyaga, one of the suspects was killed by the elephant before he was eaten by hyenas while the second one managed to escape.

Mr Nyaga said the incident may have happened two days ago when the suspected poachers ambushed the elephant in hunt for ivory.

The suspect’s remains were found 100km from Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) offices.

KWS officers said they found human bones at the scene of the attack and after thorough investigations they discovered that the poacher had been eaten by hyenas.

The second suspect, Kilonzo Mikuli, was arrested by police in Mombasa where he had fled.

Kilonzo is currently held at the Ikutha Police Station as investigations into the matter continue.

The suspect will be arraigned in court Tuesday morning.
