Embassava Sacco licence suspended indefinitely

Commuters using the Embakasi – Savannah – town center were Thursday left stranded after the National Transport Safety Authority suspended Embassava Sacco matatus’ license.

NTSA issued the order paralyzing Embassava matatus following an accident involving a bus operated by the Sacco along Jogoo Road on Thursday last week which claimed the lives of two people and injured several others.

Speaking on phone, NTSA Director General Francis Mejja said the Sacco has failed to comply with transport regulations set by NTSA.

Among the requirements the Sacco has failed to meet is to employ their staff on contract and fit their vehicles with speed governors.

Mejja further added that the license will remain suspended until its buses are inspected to ensure they comply with all NTSA public transport requirements.
