Embu leaders warn Kenyans against politics of hate

Manyatta Member of Parliament, John Muchiri, and former Cooperative and Development Cabinet Minister, Njeru Ndwiga, have urged voters countrywide to be keen on detecting political leaders who are spearheading violence.

MP Muchiri has warned of dangerous days ahead should a section of politicians continue perpetrating hatred among Kenyans in their campaigns.

He called on the citizenry to remain vigilant and alert so as to detect and report politicians who are out to instill fear and cause division among Kenyans.

Speaking at St Peter and Paul ACK Cathedral Church on Sunday, the MP also called upon church leaders to spearhead talks to unify the country especially now when the political temperatures are rising.

On the other hand, Ndwiga urged Embu leaders to preach peace and unify the people instead of dividing them along ethnic and political lines.
