Embu: Man hacks friend to death, hangs self

Residents of Kiambaa village in Embu East have been left in shock after a man hacked his friend to death before taking his own life on Sunday night.

Dancan Muriuki Nyaga 31, attacked his ally Nyaga Murunguru with a machete before hanging himself on an ovacado tree.

The two acquaintances are said to have been on a drinking spree at dusk when the unfortunate incident transpired.

Prior to the incident Muriuki is said to have sworn publicly that one day he will kill someone and then commit suicide.

Police arrived at the scene at took the bodies to Kyeni mission hospital mortuary.
