Emergency Water Interruption In Nairobi

Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company says the six hour shutdown of the plant is to allow repairs on a broken valve and increase water supply to Nairobi County.

Some parts of the city will also experience low pressure in their water supply aftert the repairs with normal water supply expected to resume by 7AM Saturday.

Areas affected by the water shortage include City Centre, University Of Nairobi Main Campus, Industrial Area, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, EPZ – Athi River, areas along Juja road, Mathare, Eastleigh, Airforce Base, Huruma, Kariobangi and Pangani.

Other affected areas include areas along Jogoo Road, Outer-Ring Road, Kangundo Road, Thika Road, Limuru Road and all adjacent areas.
