Energy regulatory authority boss charged for allegedly demanding Ksh.500K bribe
The Director General of the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) was on Thursday arraigned before the anti-corruption court to face corruption charges.
Mr. Pavel Robert Oimeke was accused of demanding a bribe of Ksh.500,000 to authorize the unsealing and opening of a filling station in Homa Bay County.
He pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of Ksh.200,000.
Mr. Omieke was charged following a probe into the incident by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
