Esther Arunga Charged With Son’s Murder

According to Australian newspaper Brisbane times, detectives from Pine Rivers Child Protection and Investigation Unit charged 34 year old Arunga with accessory to her son's murder.

The prosecution of Arunga comes a few weeks after that of her husband Quincy Timberlake

Criminal lawyer Chris Ford, who represents the couple in their separate cases, has said the former TV personality who is also a lawyer intends to fight the court charges.

Arunga was charged barely a month after her 34 year old husband Quincy Wambitta Timberlake was also charged over the same.

Timberlake appeared in court earlier this month over the son’s death in June at Kallangur in Brisbane, Australia under unclear circumstances.

According to Australia Channel 7 news report, their 3 year old son was said to be playing with his two year old sibling when he fell down the stairs.

Arunga and her husband however thought that the injuries were not so serious and they gave the boy pain relieving drugs and put him to sleep.

They only called in medics later when the condition worsened.

The boy however died while being attended to by the medics.

Australian police say that the boy had “significant” internal injuries which cannot be as a result of a fall as alleged by the parents.
