ESwatini’s prime minister tests positive for COVID-19
ESwatini Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-isolating at home, he said in a government statement on Sunday.
Dlamini is asymptomatic and feeling well, he added.
The landlocked southern African nation formerly known as Swaziland was among the last in the world to record a COVID-19 death in late April.
It has now documented 6,095 positive cases and 119 deaths from coronavirus.
Most of eSwatini’s 1.5 million people eke out a living as farmers or migrant labourers in neighbouring South Africa.
