

Ahmed Issack Hassan, the former Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) boss, has been appointed as Chairperson of the Board of the Kenya Industrial Property Institute.
A Gazette notice released on Friday evening also listed Zedekiah Bundotich to chair the Chemelil Sugar Company Board.

Bundotich vied for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat in the 2017 elections but lost to Jackson Mandago.
Chris Msando’s widow Eva Buyu was also among notable figures listed in the Gazette notice to serve as a member of the Exports Processing Zones Authority.
Msando, who worked as an ICT manager for the IEBC was killed in July last year but the murder is yet to be resolved.

The Gazette notice on appointments to State corporations also listed politicians David Osiany, Mugambi Imanyara, Ekwee Ethuro, John Munuve, David Musila, Norman Magaya, Thomas Mwadeghu and Moses Akaranga.
Other notable figures include Betty Nyabuto, former IEBC deputy chief electoral officer (operations); lawyer Paul Otieno Nyamodi; Isis Nyongo, a technology entrepreneur and Catherine Nyaki Adeya, an information scientist.
Musician June Gachui, sports personalities Humphrey Kayange and Tecla Lorupe also made the list.
