Ex-senators driver arrested after losing gun

Driver to former Kirinyaga Senator Daniel Karaba was arrested on Wednesday after losing his firearm loaded with 18 rounds of ammunition.

Peter Mugo, 35, is said to have left the Czeska pistol in his car last night and went to a local pub in Kerugoya town.

On returning hours later, he realised that someone had broken into the vehicle and made away with the firearm and his phone.

Confirming the incidence, Kirinyaga Police Commander David Kirui said that police had launched investigations into the case.
