Ex-Tanzania PM Edward Lowassa endorses Uhuru

Former Tanzania Prime Minister, Edward Lowassa, has endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid.

Lowassa’s endorsement was backed by five other communities of Maasai origin from Tanzania.

Speaking during the event in Suswa, Narok County, President Uhuru Kenyatta, urged Kenyans to maintain peace this electioneering period.

Earlier, President Kenyatta toured his home county of Kiambu and addressed a campaign rally at Kirigiti Stadium, urging Kiambu residents to turn out in large numbers to vote on Tuesday (August 8) to ensure his victory.

He is expected to wrap up the day with a major rally at Kasarani stadium in Nairobi.
