Excitement mounts at Trump headquarters

Enthusiasm was growing among supporters of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Wednesday, November 9 at his election night headquarters as projections in some of the contested battleground states began to turn in Trump’s favor.

Supporters wearing red caps emblazoned with Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again” clapped and cheered as network announcers read results.

Vote counting and media projections put Trump ahead of Democratic rival Hilary Clinton in the vital battleground states of Florida, Ohio and North Carolina while Clinton pulled ahead in Virginia.
