Ezra Simiyu To Be Sworn In As IEBC’s New CEO

The swearing in ceremonny will be led by Chief Justice Willy Mutunga at the Supreme Court.

Chiloba has served as Project Manger at  the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Kenya and most recently as the Deputy DA-Drivers of Accountability.

Chiloba holds a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the Central European University and a bachelor of Law degree from the University of Nairobi.

He is also a member of Kenya Law Society.

This appointment comes after former CEO James Oswago’s term ended with charges of irregular procurement processes in purchasing electoral materials for the 2013 General Election leveled against him.

Among those who had been shortlisted for the job include Beatrice Nyabuto former IEBC’s acting chief executive, Dickson Omondi of the National Democratic Institute and Erastus Ethekon, UNDP.
