Families Of Killed APs Ask For Govt Assistance

The officers were shot dead by their colleague at Shiatsala Administration Camp on Tuesday night before shooting himself.

The family of Caren Awiti and Alfred Khabeko were speaking when they gathered to deliberate on plans for the final send off of the Administration Police officer and her husband.

The two were among those brutally murdered by the officer.

The two were killed together with 3 others when constable Hudson Juma Alondo’s wife and their children showed up at the camp unannounced only to find another woman in his house

Angered by the wife’s presence, the officer stormed into a female colleague’s house accusing her of alerting his wife about the other woman.

He then shot the female officer, her husband and his wife before taking his own life.

The family now hopes that the government will assist them with the funeral expenses.

They also asked for better training of the officers to handle pressure and disappointments that come with the job.
