Fare Thee Well General: Leaders praise the late Nkaissery

President Uhuru Kenyatta led Kenyans in celebrating the life of the late Interior Cabinet Secretary, Major Gen. (Rtd.) Joseph Nkaissery, in Bisil, Kajiado County.

Speaking during the burial ceremony of the late Interior CS, the Head of State appealed to Kenyans to emulate the late Nkaissery whom he said was a decorated leader who served the nation diligently.

While calling for tolerance, President Kenyatta also urged Kenyans to unite and maintain peace ahead of the August polls.

Also present was Opposition leader, Raila Odinga, who termed the Retired General’s death as a big blow to the nation.

Nkaissery’s family and friends remembered the fallen CS as a noble man who valued friendship and maintained loyalty during his lifetime.

Earlier, residents of Kajiado County eulogized the late Interior Cabinet Secretary as a visionary leader who had their best interests at heart.

The late Nkaissery collapsed at his home in Karen on July 7, 2017 after suffering a heart attack and was pronounced dead on arrival at the nearby Karen Hospital.

The late Interior CS has been laid to rest at his Bisil home Kajiado County.

Nkaissery leaves behind a widow, Hellen Nkaissery, and four children.
