Father charged with defiling, impregnating daughters

An Eldama Ravine court has charged a father of 14 children for defiling and impregnating his two daughters aged 13 and 18 years respectively.

45-year old Jeremiah Kipkosgei Kesbai, who appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Margaret Kasera, was accused of impregnating his daughter at their Sigoro home, Koibatek sub-county four years after chasing his wife of 10 children.

The court heard that the 16-year old daughter, who sat for her KCPE last year and scored 285 marks, was admitted to a local secondary school but the accused declined  to pay for her school fees.

The court was also told  that the accused chased his wife four years ago and had been staying with the children since then.

In yet another case before Resident Magistrate Gladys Yator, the accused was charged with defiling his 13-year old daughter on unknown dates in April 2015 and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the shameful incident.

He was remanded at the Eldama Ravine police station after he failed to raise a Ksh 500,000 bond or a Ksh 300,000 bail and a surety of same amount awarded to him by the county.
