Father of slain Mombasa terror suspects wants to bury daughters

The father whose two daughters were among three terror suspects who were gunned down following an attempted assault on Central Police Station in Mombasa on Sunday, September 11 has moved to court seeking clearance to have the bodies buried.

Abdirahman Hussein filed an affidavit in a Mombasa Court on Wednesday, September 14 requesting to be allowed to bury his two daughters, Maimuna Abdirahman Hussein and Ramla Abdirahman Hussein, without conducting postmortem.

The deceased were among three female terror suspects who died on the spot after being gunned down by police on September 11 at Central Police Station, Mombasa.

The father of two, who was accompanied by Haki Africa officials among them its director Hussein Khalid, had earlier gone Mombasa County Police headquarters before being directed to Central Police Station where the incident occurred.

However, unconfirmed reports indicate that senior police officers at the station declined to sign the affidavit insisting that he should wait for official communication from government pathologist and the Anti-Terror Police Unit from Nairobi.

The three bodies are still at the Coast General Hospital morgue.
