Father punished for undressing daughter in presence of boyfriend

A father from Miuine Village in Laare location, Igembe North Sub County has been ordered to offer a bull and a goat after he allegedly undressed his daughter.

The middle-aged man allegedly found his daughter, a Form two student at Mwerongundu Secondary School, in the company of her boyfriend and undressed her as punishment.

The incident was widely condemned by women in the area who called for action against the father.

The elders ordered the man to deliver the goat and bull on Tuesday for a cleansing ceremony according to Meru traditions because the action is taboo.
