Fear not, Uhuru’s hard stance on gayism has stopped El Nino – Kwale pastor

A pastor from Msambweni, Kwale County has on Thursday urged Kenyans and the government to ditch their fear of the consequences of the impending El Nino rains, saying he has talked to God to spare the country of the catastrophe.

Speaking to Radio Citizen, Geofrey Mwariga disclosed that he took it upon himself to convince God to stop the rains, which are expected to fall from October.

The pastor said President Uhuru Kenyatta’s stern stand against homosexuality during Barack Obama’s Kenyan visit in July has played a role in convincing God to withdraw from bringing down the rains.

“According to the Bible, El Nino is a spirit of destruction which God detests,” stated Mwariga.

He added: “We have lost so many lives as a result of terrorism and you know when El Nino strikes, it destroys huge amount of property. Let me say its impact would overcome the government’s preparedness to handle such a force.”

Saying he is the only true leader God could speak to, pastor Mwariga intimated it was his initiative to mediate.

“God told me he has chosen to use me because He wants to restore Kenyans’ faith on their pastors. You’ll find most Kenyans go to church but do not believe in their pastors’ preaching.”

“I have now taken it upon me to stop the impending rains by communicating with Him.”

Applauding Uhuru’s move against gay rights, Mwariga said: “When the president stood firm against homosexuality during Barack Obama’s visit in July 2015, his (Uhuru) declaration made the El Nino phenomenon disappear instantly.”

“This is because Uhuru proved he doesn’t support ungodly acts. The El Nino phenomenon, which was to hit Kenya was an evil spirit of destruction. God has stood on the side of President Kenyatta.”
