Fierce Gunfight in Kainuk

The ugly specter of insecurity played out in Kainuk, Turkana County when armed raiders attempted a daring attack on hundreds of passengers who have been stranded in the area since Friday. The sound of gunfire interrupted a meeting of leaders who were thrashing out a peaceful end to a three-day blockade of the Kitale-Lodwar road by residents who are protesting the frequent banditry attacks.
