First Ebola Patient In US Dies

Thomas Eric Duncan died at the Texas Health Presyberian Hospital ten days after he was admitted.

Duncan showed up for the first time at the hospital on September 25th after he experienced fever and stomach pain.

Hospital Spokesman Wendell Watson said in a statement that the doctors and nurses in the unit as well as the entire Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas community are also grieving the death of Duncan.

The Ebola epidemic has ravaged West African countries Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The World Health Organization (WHO) and the United States Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local governments reported a total of 8,033 suspected cases of Ebola and approximately 3, 800 deaths.
