Five arrested after robbing woman at gunpoint in Mombasa VIDEO

Police have arrested five suspects in connection with a robbery incident at Aldina & Makande area in Mombasa County.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspects — Brighton Naiya Manyala, Mohamed Hassan, Chris Odhiambo Omondi, Evans Munyoki Mburiro and Mutonyi Nzamba — were captured on CCTV footage robbing a woman at gunpoint.

In the footage captured in broad daylight, two of the suspects approach the woman outside an M-Pesa shop where one of them unleashes a gun as his accomplice proceeds to rob the young lady of her handbag.

On seeing a gun pointed at her, the woman does not raise an alarm but allows the thugs to take away her sling bag.

Two of the suspects are seen hopping on to a motorcycle as they flee the scene.

According to police, two motorcycles among them the one used in the robbery, have since been confiscated.
