Five Aspirants Express Interest in Kabete MP Seat

Five aspirants have expressed interest in vying for the Kabete constituency member of Parliament seat that was left vacant following the death of George Muchai.


This comes a day after the Independent Election and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced the by election will be held on 4th May this year.

The five aspirants include former area MP Lewis Nguyai, Wanjiku Kinuthis, who is a daughter to prominent Wangige business man Kinuthia Makumi, Kiambu county assembly chief whip Charles Arahuka, who is the current MCA for Gitaru, James Wanjohi , John Mburu, who is a former ambassador amongst others who are eyeing the  Jubilee Alliance Party ticket (JAP).

Wanjiku Kinuthia while attending a sunday service at ACK Ndunyu appealed for calm during the nomination processes slated to take place on the 19th day of March this year.
