Five buses from Kisumu ferry mourners for Moi funeral service
Hundreds of Kisumu residents traveled to Nairobi on Monday evening to join other Kenyans for the funeral service of the late Daniel Arap Moi.
The State through the office of the county commissioner Susan Waweru organized five buses to ferry mourners to Nairobi.
Other locals are also said to have used their own private means of transport to make their way to the Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi.
A group of party officials from the Kenya African National Union (KANU) also organized their means of travel for supporters of the late Mzee Moi to bid him farewell.
Church leaders led by the chairman of Nyanza Council of Churches Archbishop Washington Ogonyo Ngede also traveled for the ceremony.
