Five KCSE candidates arrested for sneaking into girls’ dormitory

Five candidates sitting this year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination are set to be arraigned in court for allegedly sneaking into the dormitory of a neighbouring girls’ school.

The five students of Nyamagwa Boy’s High School in Sameta Sub-county, Kisii County, had crossed into Nyamagwa Girl’s Secondary School and sneaked into the dormitory while dressed in girls’ uniform.

Kisii County Police Commander Bernard Muli said an alarm was raised and two of the students were arrested by the night gurads, as three of their colleagues escaped. They were, however, later arrested.

According to the commissioner, the students will sit their exams in police custody before they are presented in court to face charges of trespassing.

“We have agreed that they sit their exams from home. We will present them in court once they are done with their exams and after carrying out further investigations,” said the Commissioner.
