Five killed in motorcycle accident in Kagumo town

Five people including a female Kirinyaga University student have been killed after a motorcycle they were riding on was hit by car at Kagumo town in Kirinyaga County.

According to police reports, the accident happened at around 10pm on Sunday night when the five youths in the motorcycle heading to Kerugoya were hit by an oncoming Karatina-bound car.

Three died on the spot while the other two died while receiving treatment at the ACK Mt. Kenya Hospital in Kerugoya.

Eye witnesses told Citizen Digital that police were forced to shoot in the air to disperse the irate residents at the scene.
