Five thugs break into church, kidnap watchman in Kericho

Police in Kericho have launched a manhunt for armed thugs who broke into a church in Ainamoi and stole various items before kidnapping the watchman.

Confirming the incident, Chepkurbet sub-location Assistant Chief Thomas Korir said the five men stole various kitchen items includingsufurias and cups from the Africa Gospel Church (AGC.)

Mr. Korir said the thugs then proceeded to a nearby shop where they also made away with various items.

The owner of the shop reportedly attempted to thwart the theft but the gangsters fought back using crude weapons, forcing him to retreat and scamper for safety.

According to the area administrator, the men were driving around using a Toyota Probox bearing no registration number.
